Bel Air Learning Center is looking to partner with Jiu-Jitsu gyms interested in helping children with autism, ADHD and other disorders.
Jiu-Jitsu is an amazing platform for all children to improve their fitness, focus, social skills, and teach them self-defense to build their confidence. Unfortunately, many children with mental disorders are not ready or can’t participate in typical martial art classes. This is mostly due to untrained instructors when it comes to interacting with children with special needs and unfit class format or environment. As a result, most of these 5 to 12 years old children end up staying at home after school or constrained with limited activities (ie: swimming or gymnastic) when they could actually train Jiu-Jitsu.
We have evidence that with proper training and guidance, many Jiu-Jitsu instructors teaching typical children are capable of providing an environment that can make a tremendous impact on the lives of most of these children. In order to participate in this program, gyms need the right instructor(s) and available time slot(s) outside of their regular class schedule.
Bel Air commits to:
Your gym and Bel Air work together to help these children move, have fun with others, and learn Jiu-Jitsu to eventually join your regular kids program.
We connect parents with your gym and instructors:
Parents will usually bring their child every week during the same time slot. Kids get more familiar with your gym environment, its instructors, class rules and most important make friends. Each session is a step closer to transitioning into your own regular program.
