PARENT-TODDLER PROGRAM


The Parent-Toddler Program offered by Bel Air, in collaboration with CRAWL Martial Arts, is a structured Judo & Jiu-Jitsu martial arts class designed for parents and their toddlers aged ~3 to 4.


Program Details

  • Class Structure: Each session consists of 35 minutes of structured martial arts instruction followed by 5 minutes of free play.
  • Class Size: The program maintains a small class size, accommodating up to six toddlers per session.

The program is developed in collaboration with CRAWL Martial Arts, an organization dedicated to building strong foundational skills in young children through martial arts. CRAWL stands for Confidence, Respect, Awareness, Willpower, and Leadership, emphasizing a holistic approach to child development.

The upcoming 10-week Fall session begins on September 14th and concludes on November 16th. Classes are held every Sunday at 9 AM (Level 1 Cycle 2) and 10 AM (Level 1 Cycle 1).

Coach Nic Yongwoo Park is a martial artist with decades of experience in styles including taekwondo, karate, Brazilian jiujitsu, Dutch kickboxing, capoeira, and tai chi. He’s won multiple championships in karate and competed in muay Thai. He has a strong background in early childhood education and is a teaching artist for elementary and middle school students specializing in creative writing. Coach Nic is passionate about the difference martial arts can make in the lives of people of all ages, and is excited to help your child discover and cultivate their inner strength while having a lot of fun!
Coach Nic is also a professional actor, having appeared on stages across the country and on TV in shows including Chicago PD. On top of that, he’s a filmmaker, musician, and a writer. His favorite Pokemon is a tie between Bulbasaur and Sandshrew.
